Bellmore Girl Scouts Earn Gold Award

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano honors Laura Spahn and Deanna Parlagreco for achieving the highest award that a Girl Scout may earn.

Two Girl Scouts from the Bellmores were recently honored by Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano for earning their Gold Awards. 

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that a Girl Scout may earn. The two local Girl Scouts who earned this distinction are Deanna Parlagreco of Bellmore and Laura Spahn of North Bellmore.

The Girl Scout Gold Award requires a minimum of 80 hours of planning and implementing a challenging, large-scale project that is innovative, engages others, and has a lasting impact on its targeted community with an emphasis on sustainability.
