Aug. 13: North Merrick Bus Crash, Verizon Burglary, Dog Found

A look at what's going on around Bellmore and Merrick on this Monday.

  1. A school bus that was transporting children collided with a car on Meadowbrook Road in North Merrick on Friday morning, police said. Nobody was injured, but six children were taken to NUMC for observation. Click here for more.
  2. Nassau County police are investigating a burglary that took place at Verizon Wireless at 2151 Merrick Rd. Sunday morning. Police issued a description of the two men who allegedly were responsible. Click here for the details.
