Kennedy Hosts Free Community Dinner

Editor’s Note: This article was written and submitted by representatives of the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.

Last month, students, parents, faculty, staff and members of the community gathered in the John F. Kennedy High School Cafeteria to enjoy a free dinner provided by the student government, PTA, school administration and the Kennedy Alumni Association.  Around 250 people came to eat dinner and refocus after Hurricane Sandy.

Food was donated from the following local vendors:

  • Sweet Karma Bakery (East Meadow)
  • Swirlz
  • Zorn's
  • JFK Sunshine Club
  • Party City (Levittown)
  • All-Island Discount Beverage
  • Spiga Bakery
  • Souper Fry
  • Bagel Boss
  • JFK Football Parents
  • Suburbia Prime Meat & Fish Market

The dinner would not have been a success without the  many, many students, parents, families, teachers and staff who donated time, food and money!
