The community is cordially invited to celebrate the start of the holiday Season as the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores presents the 16th annual Christmas tree lighting and holiday extravaganza.

The festivities will commence on Friday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. The evening promises to be filled with old fashioned spirit and charm. There will be horse and carriage rides up and down Bedford Avenue. An old time trolley will also travel the neighboring streets to see the beautifully decorated homes.

The tree lighting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial located at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Broadway.

The warmth and joy of the season will be in abundance with an old fashioned atmosphere. Hot chocolate, hot apple cider, hot pretzels and other goodies will be available. There will be plenty of Christmas Carols provided by our local schools and organizations. Santa will be about and will welcome the little ones with their wishes for Christmas morning.

The Chamber invites friends and neighbors of all faiths to join in this delightful celebration. For additional information, please call our Chamber office at 516-679-1875.
