5. Vacant in Bellmore: DynaSpy Exits Bellmore AvenueAfter making its home on Bellmore Avenue for nearly 10 years, DynaSpy, Inc. has vacated its retail location. Located next to a gas station just west of Newbridge Road, DynaSpy's vacancy is the second in a four-store strip mall.

4. MTA To Hike LIRR Fares: The Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Tuesday voted to raise its fares across the board, including a 9 percent Long Island Rail Road hike set to impact Long Island commuters and travelers in March.

3. N. Bellmore BOE Addresses Carbon Monoxide Incident: At last week’s North Bellmore Board of Education meeting, Arnold Goldstein addressed parental concerns over the fact that the carbon monoxide alarm had gone off at Newbridge Road School on Nov. 9.
