Cops: Twins Born on Front Lawn, in Ambulance Wednesday

Woman gives birth to twin boys in front of her home and in the ambulance as she went to the hospital, cops said.

Twin boys couldn't wait to come into the world Wednesday as their mother gave birth on her front lawn and in an ambulance, according to Nassau County Police.

First Precinct officers were called to a Gina Court home in North Bellmore to help a 29-year-old woman who had gone into labor, officers said.

Before the mother-to-be got into the ambulance, officers and AMTs helped her give birth to a baby boy on her front lawn, police said. The woman then gave birth to a second baby boy in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, cops said.
