The blood drive will take place on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 2:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the American Legion Post 1749, which is located at 1298 Newbridge Rd. in North Bellmore.
Long Island Blood Services will be providing two tickets to an upcoming New York Mets game to donors.
To be a donor you must:
- Bring valid photo or signature identification
- Weigh at least 110 lbs.
- Be age 16-75 (16-year-olds must have parental permission, age 76 and over need a doctor’s note)
- Ate well and be hydrated prior to appointment
- Not have gotten a tattoo within 12 months (unless applied in New Jersey).
