Two Suffolk County men were arrested for burglary after allegedly trying to break into the T-Mobile store in Bellmore early Monday morning.
According to Nassau County detectives, around 12:30 a.m., Devon Hargrove, 37, of Bellport, and David Potter, 35, of Wyandanch, were both observed by a witness kicking in the front glass door of the T-Mobile store located at 2762 Sunrise Highway.
The defendants then fled the scene without any proceeds prior to police arrival, police said.
Responding Seventh Precinct police officers located Potter attempting to leave the scene in a vehicle and placed him into custody. A canine police officer with his police service dog apprehended Hargrove on Clarendon Avenue in Bellmore a short time later, police said.
Both defendants were charged with burglary in the third degree and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Monday.
