For those of you who don't know, the women's U.S. soccer team beat Brazil yesterday in the 2011 World Cup.
But the win was as dramatic as it gets. The United States women had everything go wrong for them: a bad call which resulted in a penalty, an undeserving red card on the same penalty, a re-kick on the penalty shot which resulted in a goal for Brazil and a non-call in overtime that put Brazil up 2-1.
Despite playing down one person for about half of the game and having to deal with Brazil's repeated time-wasting efforts in overtime, the U.S. tied it up at 2-2 with 90 seconds left in the second overtime on a remarkable header from Abby Wambach and then won the shootout 5-3 to advance to the next round.
