The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Nassau County yesterday after a steady snowfall, making the commute a slippery one for New Year's Eve party-goers.
After hitting Bellmore with nearly two inches of snow, Mother Nature hit us with some near-freezing rain. Roads remained slippery last night, but that didn't stop residents from continuing with their plans. Local bars still appeared packed after midnight.
Several residents were even out early this morning for a stroll around Mill Pond, including some with their dogs in tow!
