March 24: Weekly Columns and a North Bellmore School District Budget Meeting

A roundup of everything you need to know about Bellmore today.

Not quite the spring everyone had pictured in terms of weather, but it's okay, here's another edition of five things to keep you happy!

  • Do you need help planning your weekend? Come back at 9 a.m. when our "Get Out" weekend planner is posted. Also, our Bellmore View Finder will provide you with some of the best pictures from around town at 12 p.m.
  • In case you missed it, Bellmore firefighter Justin Angell was honored by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano with the Nassau County Valor Award earlier this week. Click here for the full video report.
  • There is a ton of lacrosse action today. The Mepham boys team plays Calhoun at 4 p.m., the Mepham girls team plays against Wheatley at 4:15 p.m. and the Kennedy boys team plays MacArthur at 4:45 p.m.
  • There's no "House Hunts" column today -- sorry! But come back at 2:30 p.m. for today's "Patch Picks" and again at 5 p.m. for our "Bites Nearby" column.
  • The North Bellmore School District is holding a budget workshop tonight. This is an opportunity for resident taxpayers to participate in the budget process and to share their views. Click here for all of the details.
