Dorothy’s School of Dance to Welcome Dance Moms: Miami stars October 13th
Bellmore, NY – September 30th, 2012 - Dorothy’s School of Dance will proudly host Lifetime TV’s Dance Moms: Miami stars Debi and Hannah Epstein on Saturday, October 13th. Hannah, a nationally ranked dancer who has competed all over the U.S., will be sharing her experiences with bullying in her personal life and competition dance. Hannah and her mother Debi will be available from 1:30 to 3:30 for a ‘meet & greet’ as well as a contemporary dance class taught by Hannah. The community is openly invited; this event is not limited to Dorothy’s School of Dance families.
“Not only is this event exclusive to LI, I am proud to bring Hannah and her mother to our communities for the positive messages Hannah sends” stated Dorothy Medico of DSD. “Hannah bravely stood up to her bullying and let it be documented on national TV. Instead of allowing bullying to deter her, she was inspired through dance. She sends positive messages to kids about self-image and that it is ok to be different.” continued Medico.
Hannah and her mom Debi are involved in a nationally recognized grass roots anti-bullying campaign. Portions of the proceeds from this event will go towards the Brand UR anti-bullying pledge and scholarship fund. Celebrities such as Pauly D, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and TLC’s Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo) have lent their support to the Brand UR anti-bullying campaign.
The $50 cost for one parent and one child includes a 45 minute contemporary dance workshop with Hannah while parents mingle with her mother Debi, followed by an hour long meet & greet with the mother/daughter duo. An autographed photo is included. Hannah and Brand UR anti-bullying merchandise will be available for purchase at the event.
Space for this event is limited. Please call (516) 783-6734 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to make reservations. Dorothy’s School of Dance is located at 2815 Merrick Road in Bellmore immediately west of Mill Pond.
