Martha Verdi has been voted to be NCCC Businessperson of the year in Bellmore for 2012, and she was recognized at the Chamber of Commerce meeting on Aug. 15 at the Vamps Club.
Verdi, co-owner of Income Tax Plus and membership representative for the was recognized for her work and interaction with new and existing businesses in the community.
"She meets all of the criteria, which includes being an active member of the Chamber, being an owner of manager of a business located in Bellmore, a significant contributor to the economy, and she has made a meaningful and important contribution to the general welfare of the community," Izzo said.
"Again, I would just like to say congratulations to Martha," Izzo added.
