Chocolate Works to Open in Bellmore-Merrick

A new business is set to open on Merrick Road--a sweet one that is. 

Chocolate Works, a confectionary emporium, will open at 2350 Merrick Road in Bellmore this month. 

"We are targeting to open around Thanksgiving," Donna Stein, co-owner of the business said. 

The franchise was started by the Whaley family after 40 years of success in the chocolate business. 

Stein and her business partner, Rachel Levenberg, said that they wanted to bring a little sunshine to the Bellmore-Merrick community.
 
"We loved the business concept and we love the idea of bringing pleasure to people in a very special way," Stein, a Merrick resident of 30 years said. 

"We are super excited to be opening," Levenberg said. "It is such a fun business and we hope it brings joy to the community."

Chocolate Works will offer an array of chocolates--all imported from Belguim, gift items, party favors, baskets and platters. The business will also host parties for both adults and children, as well as workshops.

"We have a beautiful spacious retail space," Stein said. "There is something for everyone." 

Stein and Levenberg said that the community is really looking forward to the new business opening. 

"People are already very excited," Stein said. "It really thrills us."
