Business Q&A: Incredible Feets

Incredibly keeping the feet of Bellmore residents covered for more than eight years.

Since they opened the doors of its Bellmore location back in April 2004, Incredible Feets has been proving that they’re more than just your typical shoe store. Emphasizing customer service, Incredible Feets does its best to make sure you get the right shoe for the right job.

Store manager Jordan Mintz recently spoke with Patch about the feet of Bellmore residents and helping them choose the right shoes to wear on them.

Tell us about what makes Incredible Feets tick as a business.

We are an athletic and causal place...your typical neighborhood sneaker store. We do things the old-school way. We’ll recommend that the customer comes into the store, gets measured up and fitted properly. All fits are double-checked by the manager or owner, to make sure that the customer is leaving with the correct fit. It’s not your typical place where you go in, ask for your size, and walk out the door. It’s that customer satisfaction that keeps us in business to this very day.

Do you specialize in any particular types of footwear?

We carry some of the biggest brands, and the latest items...we bring in your North Face, New Balance, Nikes. And on the causual shoe side of things, we have Rockports, Kenneth Coles, and so on. We pretty much have nice relationships with all the major vendors so we have a wide variety of different footwear for every occasion, from infants to kids to adults.

Incredible Feets isn’t just a Bellmore business, but an actual local chain?

Yes...it was started over 35 years ago by Brendon Weiss. We have locations in Lawrence, which is the main location where it all started back in 1976, as well as Bellmore, Oceanside, and Plainview.

Do you carry anything other than footwear?

Yes, we carry clothing also. We do a nice, casual, trendy women’s clothing business as well as carrying men’s and children’s clothing. We also do accessories, such as socks, headbands...anything you could possibly need while you’re in here. We carry anything for the whole family.

What is Incredible Feets’ approach to customer service?

We really take pride in serving our customers. It’s really something that we’ve done since day one...I’ve been with the company for 11 years, but the one thing that remains the same is that, if the customer’s been in the store for the first time or the 100th time, they still get treated the same exact way. That’s what brings them back.

What do you like about operating a business in the Bellmore area?

I just enjoy dealing with the different customers on a daily basis. The operations of running a business, those are the same day in and day out, but what makes it unique is dealing with new customers and situations. They is not your typical mall store...we take into account what they need the shoe for. We really pay attention to and care about our customers.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

So Lu Scala never had any children so it might be safe to say you have never been to a PTA meetingRead More or a School Board meeting or a budget presentation so then you would have no idea how the money is spent good or bad. I'm sorry that your neighbors make more than you but like anything else you get what you pay for there are educational requirements for teaching and administration jobs, I'm sure you would be happy if all the school personnel could be replaced by minimum wage earners or better yet we could close all the schools after all you have been out of school for 40 years so you don't need them anymore, but thats not how it works. Why is always the uninformed that speak loudest and longest?

A bit of a surprise considering kids come home with a supply list a mile long (and average $40-$75).
