Bellmore Chamber Welcomes New President

Debby Izzo said that she loves Bellmore and its residents, so she was thrilled when she named the president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores.

"I am honored that the people of Bellmore would put their trust in me with this position," she said. "I am glad that people have placed their confidence in me to be the voice of the people."

Ron Mare, former president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores, said that he is certain that Izzo will excel in her duties.

"I have total confidence Debby will do a wonderful job as president," he said. "She has been very dedicated to the chamber."

Izzo, owner of The Dirty Dawg, has worked in Bellmore for 19 years. She said that during her tenure as president, there are many things that she would like to accomplish.

"My main goal is to have the chamber members be proud to be members and to be associated with the chamber," she said. "I would love for Bellmore residents to continue to shop locally and to think of the chamber as something that is there for them. I want the residential community and business community to be one community."

She said that she is ready to work toward improving businesses in a place that she holds dear to her heart--Bellmore.

"One of the reasons that I love Bellmore is that it has that small town feel. Everyone knows everyone," she said.
