One month after stepping down as chief executive, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs has passed away.
The New York Times reported:
Mr. Jobs stepped down from the chief executive role in late August, saying he could no longer fulfill his duties, and became chairman. He underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in 2004, and received a liver transplant in 2009.
In a statement, Apple said “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences, please email firstname.lastname@example.org."
