The Bellmore Fire Department hosted the ninth annual Kevin Prior and Adam Rand Memorial Golf Outing on Monday.
Proceeds of the outing benefit the memorial scholarship fund in honor of Prior and Rand. College-bound members of the Bellmore Fire Department's Junior Squad are eligible to receive a scholarship.

Gerard Prior is the father of Kevin Prior and Mary Ann Rand is the mother of Adam Rand. Kevin and Adam were both were NYC firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on Sept. 11, 2001.
Tara McCarthy is the sister of firefighter Sean McCarthy, who succumbed to cancer resulting from 9/11.
