On Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 10:30 a.m., columnist Florence Gatto and poet Beverly E. Kotch of the Long Island Writers Guild will show you how to get started writing your stories, memories and musings. The program is free and the community is welcome to attend. Mystery Lovers Book Club
Author Reed Farrel Coleman will be at the Bellmore Memorial Library on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. He will be attending the monthly Mystery Lover’s Book Club to discuss his book, Hurt Machine. Limited copies will be available for purchase and signing at the event. The next AARP Safe Driving class will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 9
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fee is $17 for those with an AARP card or $19 for others. On Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Melissa Chios will hold a Defensive Driving Class. The fee is $35. Sign up now at the reference desk. Novel Nights
