Guide to Memorial Day 2014 in Bellmore

Communities across the country will gather this weekend to celebrate and remember those who fought and gave their lives in the name of freedom.

Here's what you need to know about the 2014 Memorial Day Parade in Bellmore:

Pre-parade Memorial Ceremony: 9 a.m. at Veterans' Monument at Bedford Avenue and Broadway
Parade kick off: 10 a.m.
Route: Head north from monument on Bedford Avenue, right on Oak Street, left on Bellmore Avenue, left on Newbridge Road, ends at Newbridge Road Elementary School.
Second Memorial Ceremony: Following parade at 11 a.m. in front of the school
