County Executive Honors Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient

Maria Schneider of Bellmore was awarded the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award.

Bellmore native Maria Schneider was honored by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano for earning the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award.

Recipients of the award must put forth a minimum of 80 hours of planning and implementing a challenging, large-scale project that is innovative, engaging and has a lasting impact on its targeted community with an emphasis on sustainability. 

Since 1916, the Girl Scout Gold Award has been the highest and most prestigious award and stands for excellence and leadership for girls everywhere.
