A Bellmore man died after his motorcycle collided with a car in East Meadow on Wednesday night, police said.
The man was identified as 44-year-old Sean Goebel.
According to police, an 18-year-old woman was driving a 2004 Mazda southbound on Newbridge Road at 7:08 p.m. When she attempted to make a left onto Lawn Drive she collided with Goebel's 2007 Yamaha motorcycle that was going northbound on Newbridge Road.
Upon impact, Goebel was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead at 7:40 p.m., police said.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police are still investigating the matter.
