Sari Cohan of Bellmore has a new best friend.
Wathin, a 2-year-old labrador trained assistance dog from Canine Companions for Independence, is the newest member to the Wathin family.
After undergoing a two week training period, Wathin was presented to the 9-year-old Cohan and her family at a recent CCI Graduation Ceremony. Check out the video above to see the highlights.
Cohan has autism and her parents Laurie and Dan say Wathin will really make a difference in her life. CCI provides trained assistance dogs for persons with disabilities.
