    This force consists of 41 separate units under the direct command of the Nassau County Police Department's CommunityMore Safety Unit. Although centrally controlled, the individual units work together with their precinct to coordinate their patrols and any functions that may arise, such as parades and festivals. The force patrols neighborhoods, parks, schools, houses of worship and local businesses and assists the police at scenes of auto accidents, fires and other emergencies.
