Five Intel Semifinalists Named from Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District

Students were picked from more than 1,800 submissions.

 

Five students from the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District have been named Intel Semifinalists for 2012.

The students that were named seminfinalists are:

The IntelScience Talent Search is a program of Society for Science & the Public and is one of the most prestigious science research competitions for high school seniors.

More than 1,800 students submitted projects for the Intel Science Talent Search and 300 semi-finalists were named. 

From this group of 300 Intel STS 2012 semifinalists, 40 finalists will be chosen to attend the Intel Science Talent Institute in Washington, D.C. These 40 finalists will be announced Jan. 25 and published in Science News.
